Explore Working Together

Start With a Conversation

Working together begins with understanding what’s been going on — and whether a functional, root-cause approach to health is the right next step for you.

This page offers context on how I work, who this support is designed for, and what starting a functional health journey actually involves.

There’s no pressure to move forward. Just information, orientation, and space to decide what feels right.

What This First Step Is — and Isn’t

A consult is a conversation. It’s not a sales call, and it’s not a commitment.

This initial health consult is a chance to:

• Talk through what you’ve been experiencing

• Ask questions about your health concerns

• Explore whether working together makes sense

It is not:

• A diagnosis

• A treatment plan

• A detailed lab review

Those pieces come later — only if we mutually decide to continue.

This May Be a Good Fit If You…

• Feel unsure or stuck about what to try next
• Want to better understand what your body may be communicating
• Are open to a functional, root-cause health approach
• Prefer thoughtful guidance over quick solutions

You don’t need to have everything figured out. Curiosity and openness are enough to begin.

Ever feel your energy crash without warning? Or notice cravings and mood swings that seem completely out of your control?

It’s not always “stress” or “lack of sleep.” More often than not,
your blood sugar is running the show—even if you don’t have diabetes.

These fluctuations can silently impact your energy, focus, and metabolism long before your lab results ever signal a problem.

That’s exactly why I created this free, easy-to-follow guide—so you can finally understand what’s happening inside your body and take back control.

What the Process Looks Like

Working together typically unfolds in stages:

1. Start the conversation
During The Starting Point consult, we talk through your health history, current concerns, and goals at a high level. We’ll discuss initial observations and potential next steps, and explore whether deeper support or functional lab evaluation may be helpful.
Nothing is rushed, and nothing moves forward without your input.

2. Understand your signals.
Greater insight comes from looking at your body’s data alongside your lived experience. If we move into this stage, we review labs together and talk through what your body is communicating—then discuss personalized options for moving forward.

3. Create your care plan.

If it feels aligned to continue, we translate what we’ve learned into a structured, personalized clinical plan designed around

your physiology, your priorities, and your capacity. This may include nutrition, lifestyle support, supplements, and clear guidance— always tailored, never cookie-cutter.

4. Support, adjust and build forward.

Change happens with ongoing support. Inside a clinical program, we continue to refine your plan based on how your body responds over time. You’re guided, supported, and educated throughout — so progress feels sustainable, not overwhelming.

Location & Availability

I currently work with patients located in Michigan through virtual visits.

This allows me to provide care within appropriate clinical and licensure guidelines.

If you’re in Michigan and would like to explore what working together could look like, you’re welcome to schedule a virtual consult.

This is simply a space to talk things through, ask questions, and gain perspective — without pressure or obligation.

You don’t need to decide anything today.

This is just a starting point.

A certified functional medicine practitioner (FMACP), Marisa’s passion for this work started with her own health journey — the trial-and-error, the frustration, and the realization that healing takes more than symptom management. It takes clarity, connection, and care that actually fits real life.

At Vita Sana, her mission is simple: help you understand your body, find your balance, and feel your best again — one step at a time.
